I came across this vivid issue yesterday while snapping some spectacular shot of the sky. A chinese man in his sixties, shirtless walking towards me and ask a few question.
Surprising me as he talk about Malay and chinese dilemma plus conflict of interest at the neighborhood. Including malay and chinese can't work together as a team during gotong-royong. Issues on rules and regulation. Car park restriction. Building hump for the safety of kids and the worse part ; chinese and malay backstabbing and defamation on each other.
60% of the neighborhood is Chinese while the others are Malay, Indian and some foreigners. It is quite a nice place, where facility are there, market were near, kids can be seen playing freely and there is some volunteers keeping our neighborhood safety at night.
You have to agree that sometime grass on the other side of the field is much more greener than yours. Why do chinese and malays cant share the same interest? what is the reason of all the misunderstanding and conflict? The chinese were complainning about malay. Malay cant settle down with the chinese. As a conclusion, the chinese decide its time to stay aput and didnt bother a bit about what happen on the neghborhood. Who to blame? The 1 Malaysia scheme?
To add insult to injury, the chinese are the 3rd generation in Malysia today. Dont talk 1 Malaysia rubbish if you still treat the chinese as the second class citizen. Because racial discrimination is God given. I am absolutely right. But do our religion teach racist among others? Nayyy.
I can see why the chinese critisize among malays. The chinese wants it to be done spontaneously, perfectly even if they have to spent their own money. On the other hand, the malays wanted it to be done by helding a comitee meetings, deciding date progress, protocol and much more effort before proceed. Instead of fighting among ourselves who gets how many percent of the pie, we ought to focus on enlarging the pie. The malays always stick with this cant be done, those are not in the books. They criticize because they care, we want Malaysia to be better than Singapore, better than Australia and I hate to say this, we need to be better than China. Yes, China, I guess it is official now that we are lacking behind China in term of technology. Back in the 70′s, Korean and Taiwan used to send groups of delegates to study on our policy, because we used to be one on the top 3 biggest economy in Asia, where are we now?
This Malaysia land does not belong to everybody. It is God properties.
The coversation ended after a malay man with his sarong walk pass by us. And the surrounding seems so legit as the sky is bright ble cotton.
